SciTec, a wholly owned subsidiary of Firefly Aerospace (Nasdaq: FLY), was awarded a $93,704,410 firm-fixed price other transaction agreement on August 11, 2026, for ground-based radar digitization. Space Systems Command in Colorado Springs, Colorado is the contracting activity.

The contract funds modernization efforts to create a common architecture and design for upgrading ground-based radars. SciTec is one of several awardees in the same acquisition action: Raytheon received a $309.5 million agreement and WildStar received $20.2 million under the same program, with all three companies tasked with developing a common architecture for digitizing and modernizing six legacy radar systems.

"SciTec is honored to support the Space Force. This effort strengthens national defense, modernizing vital radar infrastructure and ensuring the United States maintains an operational advantage in an increasingly contested environment while minimizing total lifecycle costs to taxpayers and warfighters," said David Simenc, SciTec President.

The award adds to an already substantial government revenue base. SciTec generated revenues of approximately $164 million for the twelve-month period ending June 30, 2025, per the August 11, 2026 GlobeNewswire news release. Earlier in 2026, the company was awarded a $259 million contract by the U.S. Space Force to further enhance the Future Operational Resilient Ground Evolution (FORGE) framework. Separately, the Space Force awarded 20 total OTA agreements worth up to $3.2 billion to 12 companies, including SciTec, as part of the Space-Based Interceptor (SBI) program.

SciTec, headquartered in Princeton, N.J., brings more than four decades of experience supporting national security missions with AI-enabled defense software and cloud-based, on-premise, and edge processing capabilities.

For Firefly Aerospace, the contract adds to the activity generated by its October 2025 acquisition of SciTec at a valuation of $855 million — a deal structured as $300 million in cash plus $555 million in Firefly shares issued to SciTec owners at $50 per share, per the August 11, 2026 GlobeNewswire news release.

SciTec now holds active roles in the FORGE framework, the SBI program, and the ground-based radar digitization program — three separate Space Force contract vehicles, with combined disclosed values of $259 million, a share of the $3.2 billion SBI pool, and the $93,704,410 award announced August 11, 2026.
